Welcome to the website for
Sew Stitchable…

Sew Stitchable was created by my wife Margaret Nitschke. Embroidery began for her at five years of age when her mother introduced her to the basic stitches.

As the years progressed, she became involved in many kinds of sewing handicrafts but as our family grew up, she drifted very strongly back into embroidery and in 1988 she was introduced to patchwork.

In 2000 she began producing Candlewick kits and patterns from a studio at the rear of our home. The setting for the studio is very peaceful and is surrounded with gardens and trees. The business grew steadily from simple beginnings and in 2007 I was introduced to the business assisting with mail orders, kit and pattern packaging and other duties.

Margaret unfortunately passed away on the 26th November, 2009 only 20 days after being diagnosed with a brain tumour. After discussions with family and friends, I decided to keep the business running as I really enjoy keeping Margaret’s legacy going.

We are still producing new products with thanks to many wonderful ladies who Margaret taught and supported over the years.

Our studio is located at 2 Trafford Rd, Hope Valley in South Australia and we are open on Fridays and Saturdays between 9.30am and 1pm. If you wish to visit at another time please phone for an appointment. To find our studio, enter the driveway at the end of the road and on your right you will see a red brick, flat roofed house. Follow the signs and go through the lattice gate at the front of the house. Please refer to the MAP for more details.

Thank you for taking time to view our website.
